Ogee Washers

Ogee Washers are heavy-duty washers with an enlarged, contoured bearing surface designed to distribute load and prevent bolt heads or nuts from sinking into softer base materials. The term “ogee” refers to the curved, S-like profile that characterizes their shape. These washers are typically cast, forged, or precision-machined from solid bar stock, depending on the required application and material specifications.

Though not commonly used in standard industrial settings, ogee washers are ideal for specialized structural or wood applications where surface protection and load distribution are critical. Adfast Component offers ogee washers in both metric and imperial dimensions, available in materials such as zinc-plated steel, stainless steel 304 and 316, copper, aluminum, Monel, Hastelloy, and more—with options for custom fabrication upon request.
